Laser hair removal (ALEXPRO)
Laser Epilation is a treatment that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to reduce unwanted hair.
Laser hair removal is a treatment that uses short pulses of light energy to damage hair follicles, helping to prevent regrowth. This treatment is known for the most effective and longest-lasting hair reduction results.
Multiple laser hair removal treatments are required for initial hair reduction, as well as maintenance treatments.
Laser epilation is suitable for men and women of all skin tones. It works on the entire body, including sensitive areas such as the face and bikini line. Popular areas include facial hair, legs, bikini area, underarms, back and chest. Hair colour and skin type affect the success of laser hair removal. The basic principle is that the hair pigment, but not the skin pigment, should absorb the light. The laser should only damage the hair follicle, avoiding damage to the skin. Laser epilation can achieve a reduction of up to 90%. Hair regrowth will be finer, lighter and softer, with the added benefit of smoother skin. Laser epilation significantly reduces the need for shaving and waxing, so no more ingrown hairs, shaving rash or stubble. Lasers are more effective when the hair is in the early stages of growth.
Biotec Xlase Plus is suitable for all skin tones and for most body areas and hair types. Skin with tattoos should also not be treated.
As not all hair will be at the same stage at the same time, multiple treatment sessions will usually be required to achieve permanent hair reduction. Both Xlase Plus customers and the laser manufacturer report very high levels of satisfaction and long-term effectiveness following the laser hair removal process.
New XLase Plus by Biotec is one versatile laser platform for multiple treatments. Its modular design provides a variety of aesthetic solutions - all built into one compact 100% device manufactured in Italy. It is an FDA-certified medical laser. It is considered a completely painless laser!
The first Laser Hair Removal treatment is preceded by a dermatological consultation. Those qualified for the treatment have a laser test performed to determine the optimal treatment parameters for their skin phototype.
- the skin of the area to be epilated must not be dry or irritated; if required, emollients (moisturising, oil-soothing creams) should be applied several days beforehand, but not on the day of the treatment
- the day before the first treatment, shave the treatment area - leave a square of about 5 cm to assess the colour and thickness of the hair, this area will then be shaved by the person performing the treatment
- aspirin and other blood thinners should be avoided
- the skin must not be tanned or treated with self-tanner
- important - 24 hours no alcohol should be consumed before and after the treatment
- skin should be clean - no creams or lotions should be applied
- the skin is cleansed
The procedure does not require anaesthesia. The action of the laser is most often felt as a gentle stinging, burning or pinching sensation, which may be more intense when the treatment is performed on sensitive areas on the body. There is a slight redness in the treated areas. The person carrying out the treatment strives to make the patient as comfortable as possible, and our clients leave the practice with a sense of satisfaction and excitement at the results to come.
Complications after Laser Hair Removal occur occasionally and are usually related to non-compliance with the preparation and post-procedure management.
- Rare (permanent and temporary, lasting up to several weeks) - skin discolouration, scars and bruises,
- Common (short-term) - mild sun-like burns (lasting up to 1 - 2 hours after treatment), redness of the skin, periorbital swelling (intensity and amount depends on the sensitivity of the site), blisters, scabs and erosions.
A natural symptom after treatment is temporary swelling and/or redness of the depilated skin area.
