This treatment is known for delivering the most effective and long-lasting results in hair reduction.\nMultiple laser hair removal sessions are required for initial hair reduction, as well as for maintenance treatments.\n\nLaser hair removal is suitable for men and women of all skin tones. It works on the whole body, including sensitive areas such as the face and bikini line. Popular areas include facial hair, legs, the bikini area, underarms, back and chest. Hair colour and skin type influence the success of laser hair removal. The basic principle is that the pigment in the hair, but not the skin pigment, should absorb the light. The laser should damage only the hair follicle, whilst avoiding damage to the skin. Laser hair removal can achieve a reduction of up to 90%. Regrowing hair will be finer, lighter and softer, with the added benefit of smoother skin. Patients who are deemed suitable for the treatment undergo a laser trial to determine the optimal treatment parameters for their specific skin phototype.\n<ul>\n \t<li>The skin in the area to be treated must not be dry or irritated; if necessary, emollients (moisturising, nourishing and soothing creams) should be applied a few days beforehand, but not on the day of the treatment<\/li>\n \t<li>The day before your first treatment, you should shave the treatment area \u2013 leave a square with sides of approximately 5 cm to allow the practitioner to assess the colour and thickness of the hair; this area will then be shaved by the practitioner<\/li>\n \t<li>Aspirin and other blood-thinning substances should be avoided<\/li>\n \t<li>Your skin must not be tanned or have any self-tanning product applied to it<\/li>\n \t<li>Important - <strong>24 hours<\/strong> You should not drink alcohol before or after the procedure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>The skin should be clean \u2013 do not use creams or lotions<\/li>\n \t<li>the skin is cleansed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe procedure does not require anaesthesia. The laser is usually felt as a gentle pricking, burning or pinching sensation, which may be more intense when the treatment is carried out on sensitive areas of the body. A slight redness appears in the treated areas. Herbal remedies used<br \/>\u2013 St. John\u2019s wort, calendula<br \/>\u2013 herbal slimming teas<br \/>\u2013 herbal antidepressants<br \/>must be discontinued one week before the procedure<br \/>7. A tan<br \/>\u2013 sunbathing (you should stop sunbathing at least 4 weeks before the treatment)<br \/>\u2013 sunbed (stop using it at least 4 weeks before the treatment)<br \/>\u2013 self-tanning creams (stop using them at least 4 weeks before the treatment, otherwise the treatment may<br \/>(can be carried out once the tan has faded)<br \/>8. Hair removal using tweezers, wax, a mechanical epilator (at least 4 weeks before the treatment for the face and 6 weeks before the treatment for other areas of the body) or a suitable cream (at least 1 week before the treatment)<br \/>9. Cosmetic facial cleansing treatments can be carried out 7 days before or 14 days after<br \/>10. Exfoliating products should be discontinued one week before the treatment<br \/>11.
